Trump Raises $236M in Early 2025, Fueled by Crypto Donors
Former President Donald TRUMP has amassed a staggering $236 million in campaign funds during the first half of 2025, per Federal Election Commission filings. The war chest, now totaling $274 million, marks a historic fundraising achievement for a second-term president.
MAGA Inc., Trump's super PAC, contributed $177 million of the total. High-dollar donor events dominated the strategy—four $1 million-per-plate dinners and one $1.5 million-per-person gathering attracted deep-pocketed supporters from finance, tech, and notably, the cryptocurrency sector.
Crypto industry players emerged as significant backers. Foris DAX Inc., parent company of Crypto.com, donated $10 million, while Blockchain.com contributed $5 million. The Winklevoss twins added just over $2 million to the coffers. Their participation underscores growing political engagement from digital asset entrepreneurs.
Traditional finance and tech giants also participated. Susquehanna International Group's Jeff Yass gave $16 million, while Energy Transfer LP's Kelcy Warren donated $25 million. Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz of Andreessen Horowitz each contributed $3 million, with Elon Musk adding $5 million through MAGA Inc.
